INVITATION LETTER

Dear Participants,

In City and Health Symposiums, which we have been searching for ways to move our cities up to a healthy future, firstly "living in a healthy environment" and secondly "healthy urban planning" themes had been brought up into the consideration and important results were obtained by discussing and sharing.
After a long time with the cooperaiton of Uludag University and Bursa Chamber of Medicine we are organizing the Third City and Health Symposium with the "Are Inequalities Inevitable" theme.
As a result of neoliberal policies implemented, global poverty has increased, international and internal gap between rich and poor has opened and as regarding to the gap, inequalities have deepened. In order to state reasons of the deepened inequalities, determine the reflections of these inequalities in urban area, and evaluate whether local goverments have a role in reducing inequalities, we are expecting to discuss the theme with any related experts and citizens.

We wish you to honour the Third City And Health Symposium with international partipication which will be held on 27th and 28th of May 2011.
